2024 Season

U6-U14 divisions:  Registration for our 2024 season is now closed, and we won’t be accepting additional players.  If you would like to be added to our database to receive 2025 registration information when it goes out in early January, please email Deb at jslregistrations@jrsaltdogs.com with your best email address, home mailing address, and player’s name.

U17 (High School) Division: A second registration period will open just for U17 in mid-April and continue thru late May.  Watch the U17 page for details and the final registration deadline.

Homer’s Heroes division:  Go to the Homer’s Heroes page at left for the registration form to complete and mail in no later than May 16, 2024.

UPDATES FOR 2024 PLAYERS AND COACHES:

U6-U14 Coaches and Teams:  in mid-March, commissioners will begin selecting head coaches and doing the team sort.  They will contact all head coaches directly (via email) in early April with details on the mandatory coach meeting.  If you need to reach them, their direct email links are on each of the division pages at left.   Head coaches will receive their team roster and will make the first contact with all of their players.  Parents – watch you email closely (including your spam/junk folder) for an email from your child’s coach in mid-late April.  

U6-U14 Game Schedules:  in mid to late April, the game schedules will be final and linked on each division page at left.

Game Cancellations:  Go to the “Rainout Info” page for a list of any game cancellations and how to sign up to receive mobile text alerts/emails for rainouts, and for our rainout policy.

End-of-Season Tournament:  The tournament schedule is affected by regular season rain makeups so dates will not be known until early July (watch for them on each division page).  For your planning purposes, we guarantee that all regular season and tournament games will be done by July 31.  For a broad “guess-timate” of when each division will play their tournament, use the schedule link to find the last regular season game for a team in that division, add a few days to cover any rain make-ups that might be needed, and the tournament will follow after that.

Know Your Role:  Players will play, coaches will coach, umpires will umpire, and parents will parent.  Jr Saltdogs has a “zero tolerance” policy for everyone involved in our program. We ask that every parent, coach, and player in our program read the flyer about this on our website (posted in box in top right corner and on the Coach Information page) as well as read the Code of Conduct page. Please help us to have a positive season!

U10-U17 Bat Rules/Checks:  Dates for pre-season bat checks will be added here closer to the start of the season.  As a reminder, no bat checks are needed for U6-U8  For 10-U17, player bats have to be inspected/stickered to make sure they meet our bat rules (see box at right).   If the bat is approved by us, we’ll put a sticker on it (orange for U10-U14, green for U17).  Umpires will not allow bats without a sticker to be used in games.  If your child’s bat already has a sticker of the appropriate color for his division, no bat check is needed and it is good to use for the 2024 season.

Area Baseball Events:  Watch the Rules-Reference Materials page – as we become aware of area baseball events that might interest Jr Saltdogs players, we will post them there

NO REFUNDS:  The JSL has a “no refunds” policy so before registering your child, please be sure their plans are final.  If you plan to list a coach or friend request, please be in touch with them to confirm their plans before registering your child.
